Job Summary

You are a Material Handler supporting production in many stages of the daily operations. Receiving finished and raw product putting away either manually, laminated media, packing products and supporting the production floor in a safe manner.

This position pays: $21.50/hour

Schedule: Monday - Friday 6am - 2:30pm and Saturday 4am-12:30pm

Location: Santa Rosa, CA

What you will be doing:

  • Start and stop machine at specified intervals. Operate machine(s) per specifications at standard efficiency.
  • Perform set-up duties and make minor equipment adjustments as agreed upon with maintenance.
  • Immediately stops malfunctioning equipment and notifies supervisor or mechanic that repairs or adjustments are necessary.
  • Report to supervisor any situation where the operation deviates from acceptable quality, production or safety standards.
  • Monitor raw material usage and report excessive loss to the supervisor.
  • Maintains inventory by identifying, labeling, and placing materials and supplies in stock. Able to identify all raw materials and finished goods. Ensure all incoming delivery matches the company purchase order.
  • Knowledge of finished products and storage locations in the warehouse.
  • Understand the product flow from raw goods through production to finished goods put away.
  • Palletize, label and stage products per SOP’s.
  • Load and unload raw materials and finished goods per SOP’s.
  • Use of company-wide ERP system on computer terminal, plus processing transactions on a handheld scanner.
  • Use of electric/motorized lift trucks.
  • Perform daily maintenance inspections and documentation of lift equipment.
  • Use of wrap machine and balers.
  • Maintain a clean work area.
  • Perform duties safely and report all observed safety hazards to the supervisor.
  • Be punctual and at work as scheduled.
  • Constantly communicate with a diverse warehouse team, including communication with production departments.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or required by the supervisor and manager.
What you bring:
  • Ability to understand English sufficient to perform the essential functions of the position and satisfactorily meet business demands.
  • One year of experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
  • Manufacturing or machine operator experience preferred.
  • One year of experience in operating a motorized lift truck.
  • Ability to work Saturdays and overtime on short notice.
  • Ability to operate a sit-down lift truck, stand up lift truck, walk behind pallet jack and manual pallet jack.
  • Basic math aptitude
  • Able to reach, bend, lift (up to 50 lbs.), twist, squat, push and pull.
  • Good manual dexterity and eye-hand coordination.
