Job Summary

Human Resources Coordinator

You are a  detail-oriented, people-focused Human Resources Coordinator who is passionate about creating a positive employee experience. In this role, you’ll provide HR support across the full employee lifecycle, including onboarding, employee relations, benefits, compliance, performance management, professional development, and HR systems. You’ll also use UKG UltiPro to support payroll processing and maintain accurate employee information within the HRIS.

This position pays: $30–$37/hr
Location: Davis, CA
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM

What you will be doing:

  • Manage the full employee lifecycle, including onboarding, offboarding, employee engagement, and employee record updates.
  • Support HR programs related to benefits, compensation, performance management, recognition, retention, and professional development.
  • Utilize UKG UltiPro to support payroll processing and ensure accurate employee data.
  • Administer and maintain HRIS systems, ensuring data integrity, accurate reporting, compliance, and continuous process improvement.
  • Assist with benefits administration and employee inquiries, providing timely and professional support.
  • Support performance management, employee relations, and talent acquisition initiatives.
  • Assist with employee training, professional development programs, and organizational initiatives.
  • Partner with leadership and HR team members to promote a positive, engaging, and compliant workplace culture.
  • Support HR events, projects, day-to-day operations, and process improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain confidentiality and ensure sensitive employee information is handled with professionalism and discretion.

What you bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or a related field.
  • Hands-on experience supporting HR functions such as benefits administration, compensation, performance management, employee relations, and talent acquisition.
  • Proficiency with UKG / Ultimate Kronos Group (UKG UltiPro).
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including data tracking, reporting, formulas, and pivot tables.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook for calendar management, scheduling, and professional communication.
  • Experience working with an HRIS and maintaining accurate employee records and reports.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively with employees at all levels.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work independently while contributing to a collaborative HR team.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with professionalism and discretion.
