Accounts Payable Accountant
San Jose, CA - Onsite

You are a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Accountant to support daily accounting and AP operations. This role is responsible for vendor setup, invoice processing, account reconciliations, AP reporting, and supporting month-end close activities in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. The ideal candidate brings strong SAP and Excel skills, excellent organizational abilities, and a solid understanding of accounting and accounts payable processes.

This position pays: $32.00 to $34.00 per hour

What you will be doing:

• Review and approve vendor invoices, ensuring compliance with company policies and accurate GL coding
• Process and post vendor invoices in SAP for weekly payment runs
• Set up new vendors and maintain accurate vendor records and documentation
• Respond to AP inquiries and resolve discrepancies with vendors and internal teams
• Prepare weekly AP aging reports and provide analysis on outstanding balances
• Reconcile AP general ledger accounts and ensure monthly accuracy of financial records
• Assist with month-end close activities, including AP accruals and flux analysis
• Support process improvements related to AP management and payment procedures
• Perform additional accounting and ad-hoc finance projects as assigned

What you bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
• 1–2 years of accounts payable or general accounting experience
• Understanding of AP workflows, invoice processing, reconciliations, and general accounting principles
• SAP experience highly preferred
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Team-oriented mindset with the flexibility to support additional accounting projects as needed
