Schedule: On-Site | Flexible Start Time (6:00 AM – 8:00 AM)

An exciting opportunity is available with a growing food manufacturer in Sonoma County, offering the chance to lead food safety and quality programs in one of Northern California's most desirable regions. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced production environment and enjoys building strong teams, driving continuous improvement, and owning food safety performance from end to end.

Position Summary

The Quality Assurance Manager is responsible for leading all Food Safety and Quality Assurance programs for the facility, ensuring compliance with FDA, FSMA, SQF/GFSI standards, and customer, consumer, and internal quality requirements. This individual will develop, implement, and maintain the policies, systems, and procedures necessary to ensure the safety, quality, and consistency of finished products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead all Food Safety & Quality Assurance initiatives across the facility.

  • Ensure compliance with FDA, FSMA, SQF/GFSI, customer, and regulatory requirements.

  • Develop, implement, and maintain food safety, quality, and sanitation programs.

  • Manage and mentor QA Technicians, QA Coordinators, and the Sanitation Supervisor.

  • Foster a culture of accountability, documentation excellence, audit readiness, and continuous improvement.

  • Partner closely with Production, Maintenance, R&D, and Operations teams to support daily production activities and product launches.

  • Lead internal and external audits and drive corrective action programs.

  • Analyze quality data and trends to identify opportunities for process improvement.

  • Support corporate and cross-site quality initiatives as needed.

Qualifications

  • Strong leadership experience within food manufacturing quality assurance and food safety.

  • Working knowledge of FDA, FSMA, SQF/GFSI, HACCP, GMPs, and sanitation programs.

  • Experience leading audits and managing regulatory compliance programs.

  • Ability to work cross-functionally and influence teams throughout the organization.

  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

  • Proven track record of building and developing high-performing teams.
