Job Summary
General Manager
You are a grounded, operationally strong leader who can guide a mission-driven organization through its next chapter. You bring experience in HR, operations, systems coordination, and team leadership, along with the steadiness and judgment needed to support a founder transition and help multiple academies operate as one cohesive organization. You care about meaningful work, are comfortable managing complexity in a small business environment, and can balance practical execution with thoughtful leadership.
Location: Sonoma County, California (hybrid; remote transition possible until office opens)

What You Will Be Doing:
- Lead day-to-day operations across HR, administration, finance coordination, and vendor management
- Oversee the transition from the corporate office to new operations in Sonoma County
- Manage hiring, onboarding, staffing transitions, benefits, and HR compliance
- Coordinate operational needs across four academy directors and ensure organizational alignment
- Partner with leadership on branding, marketing support, and organizational development
- Oversee IT contractors and ensure business systems operate reliably
- Support leadership transition planning alongside the founder as the organization evolves
What You Bring:
- Strong operational and HR management experience within a small organization
- Experience handling hiring, employee relations, compliance, and organizational transitions
- Comfort overseeing technology systems and external vendors without needing to be highly technical
- Calm, trusted leadership presence and strong interpersonal judgment
- Ability to work independently while collaborating closely with a founder in transition
- Genuine connection to ANFT’s mission and the relationship between people and the natural world
- Adaptability, initiative, and the ability to thrive in a hands-on, evolving environment
