BILINGUAL HR Leave of Absence Specialist


You are a detail-oriented HR professional with strong expertise in leave administration and compliance. You excel at managing complex leave cases, communicating with employees at all levels, and ensuring a smooth, supportive leave process. You are highly organized, discreet, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Location: Santa Rosa, CA

This Position Pays: $35-$40/hr
(Full-Time, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM)

TEMP TO HIRE

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Manage and administer employee leave programs (FMLA, CFRA, PDL, PFL, ADA, SDI, WC, and company leave policies)
  • Serve as the main point of contact for employees on leave, providing guidance and support
  • Track leave status, documentation, and return-to-work timelines
  • Coordinate accommodations and return-to-work processes
  • Maintain accurate records in HRIS systems and ensure compliance with all regulations
  • Partner with HR, managers, and third-party administrators
  • Educate employees on leave policies and assist with process improvements and HR initiatives

What You Bring:

  • Advanced in Excel
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish required
  • 5+ years of HR experience, including 3+ years in leave administration
  • Strong knowledge of federal and California leave laws (FMLA, ADA, CFRA, FEHA, etc.)
  • Experience with HRIS platforms (Workday, ADP, Dayforce, Kronos) and Microsoft Office
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and multitasking skills
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
  • HR certification (SHRM-CP, PHR, or CEBS) and/or relevant degree preferred
