Staff Accountant (CONTRACT)

You are a detail-oriented Staff Accountant with strong Accounts Payable and General Ledger experience, comfortable working in a high-volume environment with heavy transaction processing and data entry. You thrive in structured settings, follow established processes, and bring hands-on Sage Intacct experience to support daily accounting operations.

This position pays: $40/hour depending on experience 

Location: Santa Rosa, CA

What you will be doing:

• Process high-volume Accounts Payable transactions with a strong focus on accuracy and timeliness
• Perform detailed data entry within Sage Intacct
• Support General Ledger activities, including journal entries and transaction coding
• Assist with month-end close support as needed
• Work within the GL module in Sage Intacct to maintain accurate financial records
• Partner closely with other Staff Accountants and the accounting team
• Follow established accounting processes and internal controls
• Ensure proper documentation and audit-ready transaction support
• Maintain accuracy in coding, classifications, and system input
• Help stabilize accounting operations during a high-demand period

What you bring:

• Sage Intacct experience (required)
• Strong Accounts Payable processing background
• Working knowledge of General Ledger functions
• High-volume transaction processing experience
• Excellent data entry accuracy and attention to detail
• Ability to work onsite in Santa Rosa, CA
• Comfortable working within existing systems and processes
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively within an accounting team
