Job Summary

Director of Accounting

You are a hands-on Director of Accounting who thrives in dynamic environments and enjoys guiding teams through change. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the organization’s accounting operations and leadership culture during a period of transition and growth.

This position pays: $65-70/hour depending on experience 

Location: Henderson, NV

  What you will be doing:

  • Oversee all core accounting functions, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and General Ledger — with an initial focus on AP and GL.
  • Manage and mentor a team of approximately eight accounting professionals, fostering collaboration and accountability.
  • Handle complex accounting transactions and ensure the accuracy of financial reporting.
  • Support day-to-day operations, ensuring timely month-end close and reconciliation processes.
  • Partner closely with leadership to navigate organizational changes and streamline financial workflows.
  • Provide guidance and stability to the team during restructuring, maintaining a positive and productive culture.
  • Utilize Sage 100 and related ERP systems (SAP for tracking, cloud-based reporting tools) to enhance financial visibility and process efficiency.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to support internal controls, audit readiness, and process improvements.
  • Represent finance leadership in meetings and help align operational and financial priorities.

What you bring:

  • Proven success managing accounting teams and developing staff across multiple functions.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to navigate challenging personalities with professionalism and empathy.
  • Experience leading through organizational change, ensuring both accuracy and morale remain high.
  • Expertise in AR, AP, GL, and financial reporting, with comfort managing complex reconciliations and transactions.
  • Hands-on knowledge of ERP systems (Sage 100 preferred; SAP and cloud-based reporting experience a plus).
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
  • A steady leadership style—strong, confident, and supportive without being aggressive.
  • Ability to start quickly and adapt to a fast-paced, evolving environment.
