Learning Specialist
Palo Alto, CA

You are a Learning Specialist to support the research, design, delivery, and evaluation of team member and leadership development programs. This role develops classroom and e-learning curricula, facilitates training, coordinates enterprise-wide learning events, manages training vendors and logistics, and partners with HR, leadership, communications, and other stakeholders to advance organizational learning and engagement initiatives.

This position pays: $50.00 to $55.00 per hour

What you will be doing:

• Conduct needs assessments with leaders and staff and identify training priorities.
• Design and deliver classroom, virtual, and e-learning programs using adult learning principles.
• Develop curricula, learning objectives, instructor guides, exercises, videos, course materials, and evaluations.
• Deliver New Team Member/Leader Onboarding programs and support leadership development initiatives.
• Evaluate training effectiveness, analyze results, track metrics, and develop improvement plans.
• Coordinate enterprise-wide learning events, leadership forums, town halls, academies, and physician networking programs.
• Manage training logistics, including venues, catering, technology, materials, attendance, invitations, and transportation.
• Serve as liaison with training vendors and consultants; negotiate contracts and coordinate with Legal and Accounts Payable.
• Support employee engagement survey planning, communications, data tracking, reporting, and executive summaries.
• Manage LMS course postings, descriptions, registrations, participation, and ongoing administration.
• Partner with HR, Marketing Communications, executives, physician leaders, and cross-functional teams on learning initiatives.

What you bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in a work-related field from an accredited college or university.
• At least 2 years of progressively responsible, directly related experience.
• Knowledge of instructional design, adult education, training delivery, learning strategies, and measurement of results.
• Experience with Learning Management Systems and Windows-based computer software.
• Strong public speaking, facilitation, writing, active listening, problem-solving, and team-building skills.
• Ability to conduct needs assessments and consult effectively with organizational leaders.
• Strong relationship-building skills and ability to positively influence others.
• Ability to mediate and resolve complex issues while maintaining confidentiality.
• Excellent organization, prioritization, multitasking, and deadline-management skills.
