Job Summary
Location: Benicia, CA (onsite)
You are a skilled and detail-oriented Payroll Administrator to manage payroll operations across California and Nevada, including union and non-union employees. This role is vital to ensuring compliance with multi-state labor laws, union agreements, and tax regulations while delivering accurate and timely payroll services.
This position pays: $30.00 to $33.00 per hour
What you will be doing:
- Process multi-state payroll (CA & NV) for union and non-union employees
- Ensure compliance with prevailing wage laws, CBAs, and labor regulations
- Maintain accurate records for earnings, deductions, benefits, garnishments, and union dues
- Calculate union-related components such as overtime, dues, and benefits
- Prepare and submit payroll tax filings and compliance reports
- Collaborate with HR and Accounting to ensure payroll accuracy
- Support internal and external payroll audits with required documentation
- Respond to employee payroll inquiries and resolve discrepancies
- Minimum of 2–3 years of payroll processing experience in a multi-state environment
- Experience with union payroll and understanding of CBAs preferred
- Proficiency in payroll systems (ADP or Del Tech preferred) and Microsoft Excel
- Strong knowledge of CA and NV payroll regulations and tax requirements
- Exceptional attention to detail, confidentiality, and organizational skills
- Effective communication and problem-solving abilities
- High school diploma or equivalent required
