Job Summary

You are a Coating Technician is responsible for operating and maintaining thin film coating equipment used in the production of glass optics. This role involves monitoring coating processes through computer systems, handling delicate optical components, and ensuring accurate data entry while working collaboratively with production, engineering, and management teams. Candidates must be able to obtain government classified clearance.

 

This position pays: $ 25 to $27.60 

Location: Santa Rosa, CA

Schedule:  Coating Technician Shift E 6 pm to 6:30 am Sunday to Wednesday. 

What you will be doing:

  • Operate and maintain thin film coating machines

  • Perform routine maintenance on coating equipment

  • Monitor and control the coating process using computer systems

  • Load and unload glass optical products into coating machines

  • Clean coating tooling using glass bead blasting in a glove box while wearing a respirator

  • Accurately enter coating and production data into computer spreadsheets

  • Work as part of a team, sharing workload and following direction from management and engineering

 

  • Follow all safety, quality, and cleanroom procedures

What you bring:

  • High school diploma or GED required

  • 2–4 years of relevant manufacturing or coating experience required

  • Comfortable working with computers and data entry

  • Ability to wear a respirator and work with fine glass materials

  • Team-oriented with strong attention to detail

 

  • Must be able to obtain government classified clearance
