Check Processing & Payments Analyst
Sacramento, CA (In office 100%)

You are a payment processing assistant supporting critical financial operations through high-volume check processing, medical bill imports, reporting, and banking controls. The position requires strong attention to detail, accuracy, and the ability to follow defined processes while meeting daily deadlines. The role works closely with internal claims teams, banking partners, and clients to ensure timely and compliant payments.

This position pays: $25.00 to $28.00 per hour

What you will be doing:

• Batch checks within the claims system and verify funding availability
• Perform quality assurance on printed checks
• Obtain second signatures for high-dollar payments
• Process checks through folding and postage machines
• Manually stuff multi-page checks and prepare mail for distribution
• Import medical bills from FTP sites into the claims system
• Create and balance payment batches to bill review invoices
• Partner with the claims team to research and resolve processing errors
• Export and upload positive pay files to banking portals
• Send daily confirmation emails upon completion of positive pay uploads
• Generate financial activity reports and voucher copies for specific clients
• Respond to client and internal staff emails as needed
