Receptionist (Nonprofit Environment)

You are a friendly, organized, and customer-focused professional who thrives in a community-facing nonprofit environment. You communicate clearly, stay calm while multitasking, and present yourself with casual professional polish.

Location: Oakland, CA
This Position Pays: $24-$26/hr TEMP

What You Will Be Doing:

• Greeting and assisting visitors, clients, and staff

• Answering and routing phone calls; managing front-desk inbox

• Providing general administrative support such as filing, data entry, and document preparation

• Maintaining an organized and welcoming reception area

• Assisting with scheduling, room reservations, and internal communication

• Supporting community interactions and guiding individuals to appropriate resources

• Working a full-time schedule: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM with a 30-minute lunch

What You Bring:

• Strong customer service and communication skills

• Experience working in a non-profit environment. 

• Proficiency with Outlook, MS Word, and basic office computer systems

• High level of computer savvy and ability to learn new tools quickly

• Ability to multitask effectively in a community-focused setting

• Dependability, professionalism, and a welcoming demeanor
