Payroll Clerk (CONTRACT)

You are an organized and detail-oriented Payroll Clerk who enjoys supporting HR and payroll operations in a collaborative, professional environment. This is a temporary-to-hire role covering medical leaves, with the potential to extend or convert to permanent.

This position pays: $25-35/hour depending on experience

Location: Santa Rosa

What you will be doing:

• Supporting payroll processing in a high-volume HR/payroll unit
• Assisting with filing, timecards, and file maintenance
• Entering and validating data in Kronos Dimensions (Workforce Dimensions)
• Reviewing and reconciling payroll discrepancies
• Maintaining vendor and employee records (W-9s, addresses, etc.)
• Providing excellent customer service and timely responses to employee inquiries
• Collaborating with payroll clerks, leads, and HR staff to ensure smooth operations
• Using Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Adobe Acrobat, and other standard tools

What you bring:

• Prior payroll or clerical experience (entry-level candidates with payroll exposure encouraged to apply)
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Comfort with information systems and timekeeping software (Kronos, ADP, or similar)
• Ability to learn quickly and work in a supportive, team-oriented environment
