Accounting Coordinator (Contract-to-hire)

Location: Rancho Cordova (onsite required)

You are an  Accounting professional who will be responsible for executing daily accounting tasks, primarily in accounts payable, and providing general office support. This role requires a detail-oriented and organized professional with strong communication skills, capable of managing vendor and internal interactions with professionalism and efficiency.

This position pays: $28.00 to $30.00 per hour

What you will be doing:

• Process accounts payable including invoice matching and check requests
• Verify, code, and input invoice data into QuickBooks
• Review and process employee expense reports
• Issue weekly checks using QuickBooks
• Resolve payment issues and respond to internal/external inquiries
• Reconcile accounts payable and related general ledger accounts
• Handle annual 1099 filings and consultant agreement renewals
• Communicate with management and vendors regarding payment and invoice discrepancies
• Prepare quarterly sales tax returns with the Franchise Tax Board (FTB)
• Support month-end closings and audits as needed
• Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisor

What you bring:

• College degree or a combination of 4+ years relevant accounting experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and QuickBooks
• Ability to navigate Accounting systems
• Familiarity with general accounting principles and financial reconciliations
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Professionalism when dealing with vendors, team members, and management
