Quality Control Technician

Location: Alameda, CA

Hourly rate: $30/hr - $35/hr DOE

You are: An experienced QC professional or lab technician who enjoys hands-on measurement, methodical testing, and accurate documentation. You thrive in a lean, high-accountability environment and bring a strong sense of ownership to quality and consistency. In this role, you’ll support the production and R&D teams by running critical quality tests and ensuring rigorous documentation of all results. Your work will help guarantee the mechanical and chemical integrity of advanced materials used in energy or automotive applications.

What you will be doing:

• Perform quality tests using instruments such as Instron (mechanical properties), Gurley densometer, and UV-Vis spectrophotometer
• Record all measurements and results with a strong attention to accuracy and repeatability
• Collaborate with R&D and production staff to monitor product consistency
• Assist in the development and improvement of QC procedures and SOPs
• Ensure compliance with internal standards and support traceability documentation
• Maintain lab equipment and manage calibration schedules.

What you bring:

• Hands-on experience with QC testing and analytical instrumentation (e.g., Instron, Gurley, UV-Vis)
• Prior experience in fine chemical, automotive, or industrial manufacturing environments
• Strong record-keeping and documentation skills
• Understanding of mechanical and chemical properties of materials
• Familiarity with safety and quality protocols in a lab or manufacturing environment
• Ability to work independently and take initiative in a lean team setting
