Job Summary

 

You are: A  Solvent Packager that is diligent and safety-conscious individual ready to join our manufacturing team. You're adept at working in a fast-paced environment, possess strong mechanical abilities, and are committed to maintaining high-quality production standards.

This position pays: $21.06/hr. 

What you will be doing:

You'll play a crucial role in our packaging operations, ensuring the safe and efficient handling of solvents. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Adhering to all safety precautions and PPE requirements to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Operating on automated lines, which involves placing empty bottles on converters, putting filled bottles into cases, and stacking cases onto pallets.
  • Working at automatic side stations to fill various container sizes, from 4-liter bottles to 5-gallon pails and 55-gallon drums.
  • Managing manual side stations, filling containers directly from drum jacks.
  • Taking particle count samples and conducting particle count tests to monitor quality.
  • Maintaining accurate production records.
  • Monitoring and assisting with assigned packaging operations.
  • Collaborating with the Quality Assurance Department to identify and resolve quality issues. You'll have the authority to stop the line and notify QA if a contamination event occurs.
  • Complying with all cGMP (current Good Manufacturing Practices) requirements.
  • Managing hazardous and universal waste in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.

What you bring:

  • Education: A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Experience: 1-3 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing facility, with a preference for experience in a chemical plant.
  • Skills & Competencies:
    • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude.
    • Strong organizational, prioritization, and problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
    • Solid basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division).
    • Critical decision-making abilities, creativity, and the capacity to multi-task effectively.
    • RCRA (Resource Conservation and Recovery Act) Training.
