Senior Accountant

You are a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. In this role, you will play a key part in managing accounting procedures including cash application with customer deductions, general ledger entries and reconciliations, accounts payable processing, and month-end activities — while driving process improvements and efficiency.

Location: Rohnert Park, CA

Compensation: $35-40/hour depending on experience

What You Will Be Doing:

• Process daily cash applications, including posting customer deductions and preparing deduction reports

• Assist with researching and disputing incorrect deductions

• Enter and process accounts payable invoices and weekly vendor payments (checks and EFTs)

• Record journal entries and assist with month-end close activities, including general ledger reconciliations

• Collaborate with internal teams to resolve billing discrepancies, variances, and accounting issues

• Support fixed asset tracking and accounting projects as needed

• Participate in ongoing process improvement initiatives within the accounting department

What You Bring:

• Industry experience required: Consumer goods, food manufacturing, or related industry

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field

• Proven experience as a Senior or Staff Accountant

• Strong understanding of GAAP, AR, and AP functions

• Proficiency with accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., Excel, NetSuite, QuickBooks, SAP, etc.); experience with Mac operating systems preferred

• Detail-oriented mindset with excellent organizational and analytical skills

• Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and handle multiple priorities
