Senior Project Accountant (CONTRACT)

You are an experienced, hands-on Senior Project Accountant with a strong background in construction or project-driven accounting. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with Project Managers, and are comfortable handling everything from compliance and contracts, to fixed asset reconciliation and treasury management.

This position pays: $45 to $50 an hour

What you will be doing:

• Customer billings, collections, sub invoicing, and payments
• Managing and tracking compliance items required for payment
• Preparing monthly compliance reporting
• Overseeing contract and cost management, including WIP to AR processes
• Handling cash receipts and treasury management
• Reconciling fixed assets and managing salary true-ups
• Assisting with AP and check runs as needed
• Supporting 300+ active projects and ensuring budget alignment

What you bring:

• Degree in Accounting/Finance or 5+ years of related experience in construction/project accounting
• Leadership experience and ability to drive processes independently
• Experience with Sage ERP and/or Ajira is highly desired; familiarity with Deltek or similar project-oriented tools is a plus
• Proven ability to collaborate effectively with Project Managers and operational teams
• Strong analytical skills to identify and resolve issues such as project profitability and compliance gaps
