Guest Courtesy Representative

Location: Newport, OR 

Schedule: Monday–Friday, full time

Rate: $20.00 p/hour

Duration: Temp/temp-hire

Start Date: ASAP 

 

You are:

A safety- and service-focused team member responsible for helping maintain a secure, welcoming resort environment for guests, employees, vendors, and visitors. You will monitor resort facilities, respond to safety and security concerns, assist guests and vendors, and support resort operations as directed by management.

What you will be doing:

  • Conduct routine checks of resort facilities for unsafe or unusual conditions, including potential gas leaks, electrical hazards, vandalism, theft, or unauthorized activity.

  • Secure and monitor resort facilities during and after regular operating hours.

  • Monitor property security cameras and maintain a visible presence to help deter theft and vandalism.

  • Escort guests to their units and vendors to mechanical rooms as needed.

  • Monitor maintenance systems for equipment alerts and notify management and vendors of potential failures or malfunctions. (Nevada properties only.)

  • Coordinate and oversee third-party service providers, including deliveries, service calls, schedules, and related services. (Nevada properties only.)

  • Receive packages and deliveries for the property. (Nevada properties only.)

  • Respond to emergency calls when management is unavailable. (Nevada properties only.)

  • Notify local officials of unusual or emergency situations when management is unavailable.

  • Assist with resort energy-conservation efforts.

  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.

What you bring:

  • One year of college or technical-school education, or 3–6 months of related experience/training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Ability to read and understand safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures.

  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence and communicate effectively with guests, employees, vendors, and officials.

  • Basic math skills, including whole numbers, fractions, decimals, rates, ratios, and percentages.

  • Ability to follow detailed written and verbal instructions, use sound judgment, and resolve routine problems.

  • Basic computer skills, including word processing, spreadsheets, and AS400 maintenance functions.

  • Ability to frequently stand, walk, and communicate; occasionally sit and lift or move up to 10 pounds.

  • Ability to perform duties in a moderately noisy work environment.
