You are a hands-on CNC Research Technician with experience setting up, operating, and troubleshooting CNC equipment. You are comfortable working with a Haas VF2 or similar 3-axis CNC mill and enjoy testing new machining processes, tooling, and techniques.
This position pays: $38.00–$45.00 per hour, depending on experience.
What you will be doing
- Set up and operate a Haas VF2 CNC mill for research, development, and prototype machining.
- Develop and test CNC programs, tooling, workholding, and machining processes.
- Perform machine setups, tool changes, offsets, and basic troubleshooting.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical documentation.
- Inspect machined components using precision measuring tools.
- Document machining results, process improvements, and test findings.
- Collaborate with engineers and technicians to improve machining processes and part quality.
- Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient machining environment.
What you bring
- Hands-on CNC machining and setup experience.
- Experience with 3-axis CNC mills, preferably Haas VF2.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T.
- Knowledge of cutting tools, feeds and speeds, workholding, and machining processes.
- Experience using precision inspection equipment such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
- Ability to troubleshoot machining issues and make process adjustments.
- CNC programming experience is highly preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and a practical, hands-on approach to research and development.
