You are a Baler Operator responsible for safely operating industrial baling equipment to process aluminum materials in a fast-paced production environment. You will help maintain production goals while following strict safety, quality, and cleanliness standards.
This position pays: $19 – $19
What you will be doing:
- Safely operate the baler and depalletizer according to established operating procedures.
- Process raw aluminum materials into compressed bales while ensuring all safety mechanisms are engaged.
- Tag pallets, load materials into the depalletizer, and transfer materials through the baling system.
- Collect finished bales, stack them on pallets, and secure them with baling wire.
- Record production accurately on the Floor Log and meet production goals of at least 7 bales per hour.
- Report equipment malfunctions, maintenance needs, and safety concerns to the Site Manager or Baler Technician immediately.
- Complete required production logs, reports, and other documentation accurately and on time.
- Maintain a clean, organized work area by following housekeeping schedules and GMP/SQF requirements.
- Wear and properly use all required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Work closely with team members to ensure safe, efficient production and continuous communication.
What you bring:
- Previous experience operating industrial machinery, preferably balers or similar production equipment (preferred but training is provided).
- Ability to safely operate machinery while following all safety procedures and PPE requirements.
- Strong attention to detail with accurate recordkeeping and documentation skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform repetitive physical tasks throughout the shift.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing or warehouse environment.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Commitment to workplace safety, quality standards, and maintaining a clean work environment.
- Willingness to wear required PPE, including safety glasses, face shields, leather gloves, leather aprons, steel-toed boots, and hearing protection as required.
