Position Title: Harvest Cellar Worker
Position Summary:
We are seeking hardworking and reliable Harvest Cellar Workers to assist with the upcoming wine harvest season. This position supports winery production operations including grape processing, sanitation, fermentation management, and general cellar duties. Candidates must be able to work long hours, weekends, and overtime during harvest.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Assist with grape receiving, crushing, and processing
- Perform pump-overs, punch-downs, and tank additions
- Sanitize and clean tanks, hoses, pumps, and cellar equipment
- Operate basic cellar equipment safely and efficiently
- Monitor fermentation activities and follow winemaking instructions
- Assist with barrel work, racking, and transfers
- Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the cellar
- Follow all safety procedures and food safety standards
- Support other winery production duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Previous winery or cellar experience preferred, but not required
- Ability to work flexible schedules including weekends and overtime
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
- Comfortable working in wet, cold, hot, and fast-paced environments
- Ability to stand, bend, climb stairs/ladders, and work long shifts
- Forklift experience is a plus
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and teamwork skills
Schedule:
- Seasonal/Temporary position during harvest
- Overtime and extended hours expected during peak production
Work Environment:
- Winery production and cellar environment
- Exposure to varying temperatures, loud equipment, and wet conditions
Pay:
- DOE (Depending on Experience)
