You are a QA Technician responsible for performing inspections and testing processes to ensure products meet established quality standards, specifications, and regulatory requirements. This role involves working closely with Operations, Engineering, and Quality teams to support compliance, continuous improvement, and product excellence.
This position pays: $21 to $22
Location: Rohnert Park, CA
Schedule: 5 am to 1:30 pm
What you will be doing:
- Perform routine inspections and testing of incoming, in-process, and finished products
- Document and maintain accurate records of test results; report any deviations from specifications
- Calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability
- Assist in developing and updating work instructions and quality control inspection plans
- Collaborate with Operations and Engineering teams to investigate quality issues and implement corrective actions
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations within the QA lab
- Participate in internal and external audits as required
- Maintain training records and ensure all required training is completed and documented in QCBD
- Utilize basic mathematical and statistical methods to analyze data and identify trends
- Manage laboratory inventory, including materials, chemicals, and supplies
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory environment
- Prepare Certificates of Conformance (C of C) for product shipments
- Support equipment validation activities (IQ, OQ, PQ) in partnership with Quality Engineering
- Assist with new product development, including First Article Inspections (FAI)
- Conduct quality record reviews to ensure compliance with Good Documentation Practices (GDP)
- Promote quality awareness and continuous improvement through GMP/GDP training initiatives
- Develop basic inspection programs for tools such as Keyence, Zeiss, and MicroVu
What you bring:
- Minimum of 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment with quality compliance responsibilities
- Experience with regulatory standards such as ISO 9001, ISO 13485, FDA 21 CFR, AS9100, or ISO 16949
- Hands-on experience with inspection and measurement equipment (Keyence, Zeiss CMM, MicroVu)
- Knowledge of quality systems including training, document control, nonconforming material handling, and CAPA processes
- Strong understanding of quality tools such as sampling plans, Pareto charts, histograms, and cause-and-effect diagrams (MiniTab experience is a plus)
- Ability to read and interpret detailed engineering drawings and schematics
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); QCBD experience preferred
