You are a safety-focused Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Specialist III who is passionate about creating safe, compliant, and sustainable workplaces. You thrive in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with global teams to support occupational and environmental safety programs across R&D, manufacturing, and distribution sites in Northern California. You bring strong regulatory knowledge, training experience, and the ability to drive improvements in safety culture.
This Position Pays: $51.87 – $71.34 per hour
Onsite – Hercules, CA
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Duration: 6 Months
What You Will Be Doing:
- Coordinate onsite occupational safety programs including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), ergonomics, hazard communication, chemical management, and biosafety.
- Manage environmental compliance programs such as stormwater, air quality, chemical storage, and hazardous waste management.
- Lead onsite safety initiatives including emergency response teams and safety committees.
- Support multiple Northern California sites, driving improvements in safety culture and sustainability.
- Develop and deliver safety training programs to employees.
- Support manufacturing and regulatory teams through process/material reviews and Safety Data Sheet (SDS) development.
- Lead incident and accident investigations to determine root causes and implement corrective actions.
What You Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Safety & Health, Engineering, Biology, Chemistry, or a related technical field.
- 5+ years of experience in occupational and environmental health & safety.
- Strong knowledge of Cal/OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory compliance requirements (local/county experience a plus).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Ability to manage shifting priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with SAP, PowerBI, DocuSign, Smartsheets, or UL WERCS is a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
