You are a microscope production detail-oriented Production Technician responsible for assembling and inspecting electronic and optical components using microscopes and precision tools in a bench-top manufacturing environment. This role includes troubleshooting, testing, and repairing assemblies while following detailed technical instructions and strict quality and safety standards. The ideal candidate has experience with microscope work and electronic assembly and is comfortable working in an ITAR-regulated facility while maintaining productivity and accuracy.
This position pays: $22 to $24
Location: Santa Rosa, CA
Schedule: Monday to Friday 7 am to 3:30 pm
What you will be doing:
- Follow all company safety and quality guidelines.
- Assemble electronic and optical devices and components using a microscope.
- Perform bench-top assembly using a microscope to manually place and attach micro-components.
- Inspect assembled products and sub-assemblies using a microscope.
- Use basic electronic assembly tools and test equipment to troubleshoot, test, and repair electronic and optical assemblies.
- Assemble mechanical and electrical components such as small wires and circuit boards into product housings.
- Inspect and rework defective sub-assemblies.
- Maintain productivity levels as determined by management.
- Follow detailed work instructions accurately and consistently.
- Communicate work progress and updates to management as needed.
- Contribute to process improvements to enhance efficiency and functionality.
- Use Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
What you bring:
- Minimum 1 year of microscope experience.
- 2+ years of related assembly or manufacturing experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to pass a background check.
- Must be able to work in an ITAR-regulated facility.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to follow detailed technical instructions.
- Willingness to learn new technologies, software, and professional practices.
- Ability to pass a pre-placement physical.
- Must be flexible to work different shifts.
- Work is performed in a bench-top manufacturing environment using multiple assembly stations.
- Requires precise hand and finger movements for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to reach and grasp with both hands.
- Occasionally lift, carry, push, or pull up to 25 lbs.
