You Are a hands-on Facilities Maintenance Technician who enjoys solving problems, performing repairs, and keeping facilities running smoothly. You take pride in maintaining safe, clean, and functional environments and are comfortable working across multiple sites with minimal supervision. You are organized, dependable, and committed to supporting individuals from diverse backgrounds, including those experiencing homelessness or mental health challenges.

This Position Pays $27-$31

What You Will Be Doing

  • Perform a wide variety of maintenance, repair, and carpentry work orders through the ticketing system, including preventative maintenance and minor facility improvements.
  • Conduct minor electrical, plumbing, and HVAC maintenance, along with general cleaning and janitorial tasks.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot facility systems, including HVAC, alarms, electricity (PG&E/SMUD), water, and other utilities.
  • Communicate maintenance concerns and work order updates with supervisors and Program Managers.
  • Assist with facility inspections, annual reporting, and physical inventory of agency-owned equipment and appliances.
  • Support CARF accreditation compliance, ensuring maintenance-related standards are consistently met.
  • Help coordinate maintenance of agency buildings, walkways, and vehicles with external service providers.
  • Assist IT support vendors with internet, phone systems, and technical setup for program sites.
  • Order maintenance equipment and supplies according to internal protocols.
  • Drive to multiple program sites to complete maintenance tasks while following agency driving policies.
  • Participate in meetings, trainings, and maintain accurate timesheets.
  • Promote and maintain a safe, healthy, and clean working environment.

What You Bring

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 3+ years of hands-on facilities maintenance experience, preferably across multiple locations
  • Skills in carpentry, repairs, light plumbing, and electrical work
  • Ability to quickly learn and use FreshDesk ticketing system, Microsoft Teams, and mobile work platforms
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and follow-through
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work independently or in a team
  • Strong customer service mindset and ability to work with diverse populations
  • Critical thinking skills and a solution-oriented attitude
  • Professional conduct, reliability, and strong interpersonal skills

Physical Requirements

  • Frequent standing, walking, climbing stairs, and reaching
  • Regular use of tools, equipment, and hand controls
  • Occasional stooping, kneeling, and crouching
  • Ability to lift or move up to 50 lbs.
