You Are a detail-oriented Production Operator with hands-on experience operating reactors and large-scale chemical equipment in a regulated environment. You are safety-focused, quality-driven, and comfortable working independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams to support continuous improvement, compliance, and production goals.
This Position Pays:
- $27.40 – $35.00 per hour
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.
What You Will Be Doing
- Independently operate reactors and large-scale production equipment, including monitoring processes, adjusting batches, and adding chemical materials.
- Weigh, measure, mix, and prepare materials per work instructions and batch records; calculate and adjust ratios as needed.
- Collect samples and perform in-process testing (pH, conductivity), troubleshoot issues, and conduct basic root-cause analysis.
- Decontaminate, prepare, isolate, and support cleaning or maintenance of equipment.
- Maintain compliance with quality, safety, and environmental standards; complete accurate production documentation and labeling.
- Handle chemical raw materials and ensure proper disposal of hazardous waste and wastewater.
- Perform SAP transactions (goods issue/receipt, labor tracking, inventory transfers, lookups).
- Collect and document wastewater, hazardous waste, and air emission data for regulatory compliance.
- Perform daily housekeeping to maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
- Operate forklifts (propane-powered Toyota models 7FGU25 and 8FGU25) and wear required PPE, including full-face and cartridge air respirators.
- Communicate inventory, quality, planning, or process issues and recommend improvements to SOPs and work instructions.
- Support Process Development and R&D with equipment and process validation as needed.
What You Bring
- High school diploma required; Associate’s degree with chemical or biological background preferred.
- 4–6 years of chemical/biological production experience, preferably in a regulated environment.
- Experience handling reactors and hazardous chemicals.
- Working knowledge of hazardous waste regulations and wastewater handling.
- Strong math skills with the ability to convert units and calculate ratios.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word; ERP experience required (SAP preferred).
- Strong written and verbal business communication skills in English.
- Ability to manage priorities, collaborate effectively, and resolve moderately complex issues.
