This Position Pays
- $23.13 – $26.00 per hour
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.
What You Will Be Doing
- Weigh, measure, prepare, and mix materials to produce stock solutions and products per batch records and work instructions.
- Calculate required material quantities and adjust ratios during production as needed.
- Collect samples and perform in-process testing (pH, conductivity), resolving issues identified.
- Maintain a clean, organized work area and identify/report safety concerns.
- Handle and dispose of hazardous chemical raw materials and waste in compliance with regulations.
- Perform SAP transactions including goods issue/receipt, labor tracking, inventory transfers, and system lookups.
- Maintain accurate production records and ensure all solutions and buffers are properly labeled.
- Operate forklifts (Toyota propane models 7FGU25 and 8FGU25).
- Perform basic troubleshooting, minor equipment repairs, and escalate issues to maintenance as needed.
- Decontaminate, prepare, and isolate equipment for cleaning or servicing.
- Communicate inventory, quality, planning, and process issues to supervisors and recommend process or SOP improvements.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives, housekeeping standards, waste reduction, and new product introductions.
- Comply with PPE, hazardous waste, wastewater, and environmental emission requirements.
What You Bring
- High school diploma required.
- Associate’s degree with a chemical/biological background or chemical/biological processing certification preferred.
- 0–3 years of production or manufacturing experience.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.
- ERP system experience; SAP experience is a plus.
- Strong math skills, including unit conversions and ratio calculations.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
- Strong time management and task prioritization skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
- Basic analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to safely operate forklifts and wear air respirators (full-face supplied air and cartridge style).
- Comfortable working with and disposing of hazardous chemicals.
