Advanced Computer Technician
Job Summary:
Advanced Technician is responsible for advanced deployment, configuration, and support of computer equipment in enterprise and end-user environments. This role requires hands-on technical expertise, strong customer service skills, and the ability to follow and execute detailed technical instructions while resolving complex hardware and software issues.
Location: Sacramento, CA
Compensation: $36.00 – $50.00 hour
Schedule: Mon-Fri 7:00am-4:30pm (Contract 3months)
Key Responsibilities:
• Service, deploy, and support desktop, laptop, and peripheral computer equipment
• Perform data and user settings migration, system imaging, and application installations
• Troubleshoot and resolve advanced Windows OS, hardware, and software issues
• Support hardware break/fix activities across multiple hardware platforms as required
• Follow established scripts, procedures, and technical documentation accurately
• Provide professional, customer-focused technical support to end users
• Document work performed, issues identified, and resolutions completed
Qualifications:
• 1–3 years of experience servicing and deploying computer equipment
• Proven experience with imaging, data migration, application installation, and related technologies
• Advanced technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a technical team
• Strong working knowledge of Windows operating system environments
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
• Demonstrated customer service experience in a technical support setting
• Ability to understand and follow verbal and written technical instructions and scripts
• CompTIA A+ certification or equivalent technical skill set required
Preferred Certifications:
• MCP, MCSE, CNE, and/or Network+
• Hardware platform certifications (as required for specific servicing needs)
