Accounts Receivable Specialist (Contract)
Vallejo, CA – Onsite
You are a detail-oriented temporary Accounts Receivable Specialist to support day-to-day AR operations during a period of increased workload. This execution-focused role works within established systems and processes and requires minimal ramp-up time.
This position pays: $26.00 to $28.00 per hour
What you will be doing:
- Prepare, review, and issue customer invoices in a high-volume environment
- Apply customer payments (ACH, wire, and check) accurately and timely
- Research and resolve unapplied cash, short payments, and customer discrepancies
- Support AR aging clean-up and follow up on past-due balances
- Maintain accurate customer records and supporting documentation
- Coordinate with internal billing and operations teams as needed
- Assist with month-end accounts receivable close activities, as applicable
What you bring:
- 2+ years of accounts receivable experience
- Experience with QuickBooks Desktop or a similar accounting system
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established procedures
- Comfort working with aging reports and managing customer accounts
- Intermediate Excel skills (filters, sorting, basic formulas)
- Ability to work independently with minimal onboarding
- Professional written and verbal communication skills
