HR Operations Supervisor – Contract
Menlo Park, CA – Hybrid
You are an HR Operations Manager, responsible for leading and optimizing the Human Resources Operations service delivery model. This role supervises HR Operations staff, serves as the primary point of contact for HR Operations, and ensures efficient, compliant, and high-quality transactional HR services. The position partners closely with HR leaders, HRIS, IT, payroll, and other stakeholders to continuously improve systems, processes, and the employee and leader experience.
This position pays: $65.00 per hour
What you will be doing:
- Lead, supervise, and develop the HR Operations team, ensuring accountability, engagement, and high service standards.
- Serve as the primary escalation point for employee and leader HR-related inquiries and operational issues.
- Oversee daily HR Operations workflows, including prioritization, scheduling, assignment, and monitoring of work.
- Establish, document, and maintain HR Operations standards, procedures, and business processes.
- Ensure service level agreements are met and continuously improve service center efficiency and effectiveness.
- Analyze operational metrics, call volumes, and quality data; report trends and recommend process improvements.
- Partner with HRIS, IT, and payroll to audit data, resolve system issues, and ensure accurate employee records and pay data.
- Lead and participate in process improvement initiatives using structured methodologies.
- Consult on and support new system implementations (e.g., ServiceNow, ERP, Cisco Finesse, remote I-9).
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, HR policies, and audit requirements.
- Oversee administration of key HR programs and processes, including onboarding support, benefits administration, retiree processes, and employee records management.
- Coordinate with vendors, represent HR on committees and task forces, and support accreditation and regulatory reviews.
- Contribute to business continuity and disaster recovery planning for the HR department.
What you bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in HR operations or a closely related field.
- Demonstrated experience leading and developing teams in a service-oriented environment.
- Strong knowledge of HR systems, transactional processes, and service center models.
- Working knowledge of federal, state, and local employment regulations.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, analyze data, and drive process improvements.
- Strong leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to resolve complex operational issues and collaborate effectively with cross-functional partners.
