You are a Material Handler Day Shift Forklift Operator responsible for moving, storing, and tracking materials in a warehouse, factory, or distribution center. Their job includes loading and unloading shipments, operating machinery like forklifts, and maintaining inventory records to ensure a smooth flow of goods
This position pays: $18 – $18
What you will be doing:
- Unload trucks, trailers, and containers; count products and compare against manifests.
- Check shipments for damage, infestation, or incorrect production codes and report all issues.
- Sign for inbound shipments when needed and safely move materials to proper storage locations.
- Pick correct products, quantities, and types (lot, batch, serial).
- Transport orders to shipping or delivery platforms using forklifts, cherry pickers, and pallet jacks.
- Label, stencil, tag, mark, band, wrap, bundle, over-pack, and palletize orders as required.
- Verify quantities, labels, and addresses to ensure accurate and complete outgoing shipments.
- Keep equipment clean, organized, and in safe working condition.
- Operate all equipment safely and in compliance with OSHA and company standards.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with physical counts and cycle counts.
- Ensure proper stock rotation and enter inventory adjustments into the computer system.
- Repack, re-box, repair, or consolidate goods as needed.
- Operate shrink-wrap machines, charge forklift batteries, and separate good/bad pallets.
- Clean railcars, trailers, docks, and bays as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What you bring:
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. using proper techniques.
- Strong attention to safety and ability to follow detailed directions.
- Ability to work under deadlines and shifting priorities.
- Coordination to use hands and feet simultaneously for repetitive tasks.
- Responsible work habits and familiarity with warehouse systems.
- Flexibility to work any shift.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- OSHA Forklift and HAZMAT certification a plus.
