Maintenance Mechanic / Maintenance Technician
Location: Petaluma, CA
Schedule: Full-Time, Third Shift (approx. 10 PM–6 AM, Monday–Friday)
Compensation: $32–$36/hour + $1/hour shift differential (senior range $34–$40/hour; flexibility possible)

Job Summary
The Maintenance Mechanic/Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing production equipment and facility systems to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operations. This role is key to minimizing downtime, supporting food safety standards, and ensuring smooth plant performance in a high-volume environment.
Key Responsibilities

Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs on production machinery and facility systems

Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues

Maintain facility infrastructure, including lighting, plumbing, HVAC, refrigeration, and compressed air systems

Respond promptly to breakdowns and emergency maintenance needs

Maintain PM schedules, work orders, and repair documentation

Ensure compliance with OSHA, GMPs, and food safety regulations

Collaborate with production, sanitation, and quality teams to ensure equipment readiness

Recommend improvements to safety, reliability, and equipment efficiency

Assist with installation and commissioning of new equipment

Maintain tools, spare parts, and supplies inventory
Shift & Scheduling Notes

Third shift typically runs 10 PM–6 AM, Monday–Friday

Start times may differ slightly between production and packaging teams

During peak season, production may include Saturdays

Maintenance often performs major repairs and PMs on weekends when production is down
