Accounting Assistant
Location: San Rafael, CA – Onsite
You are a reliable and detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to join our Finance team. This role will support accounts payable and receivable processes, perform administrative tasks, and assist with monthly reconciliations. The ideal candidate is computer-savvy, organized, and eager to contribute to a collaborative department.
This position pays: $26.00 to $28.00 per hour
What you will be doing:
- Process accounts payable: verify vendor information and amounts after approval and ensure timely payment
- Assist with accounts receivable, including input of check payments
- Perform monthly credit card reconciliations
- Answer internal and external inquiries regarding business license renewals
- Support the Finance department with administrative and data entry tasks
- Work across various systems and platforms to ensure accurate financial records
What you bring:
- 1–2 years of experience in an administrative or accounting support role
- Strong attention to detail and ability to process information quickly and accurately
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general comfort with learning new software systems
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Strong communication skills and a proactive attitude
- Familiarity with basic accounting functions (AP/AR, reconciliations) is preferred
