Payroll Clerk (CONTRACT)
You are an organized and detail-oriented Payroll Clerk who enjoys supporting HR and payroll operations in a collaborative, professional environment. This is a temporary-to-hire role covering medical leaves, with the potential to extend or convert to permanent.
This position pays: $25-35/hour depending on experience
Location: Santa Rosa
What you will be doing:
- Supporting payroll processing in a high-volume HR/payroll unit
- Assisting with filing, timecards, and file maintenance
- Entering and validating data in Kronos Dimensions (Workforce Dimensions)
- Reviewing and reconciling payroll discrepancies
- Maintaining vendor and employee records (W-9s, addresses, etc.)
- Providing excellent customer service and timely responses to employee inquiries
- Collaborating with payroll clerks, leads, and HR staff to ensure smooth operations
- Using Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Adobe Acrobat, and other standard tools
What you bring:
- Prior payroll or clerical experience (entry-level candidates with payroll exposure encouraged to apply)
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Comfort with information systems and timekeeping software (Kronos, ADP, or similar)
- Ability to learn quickly and work in a supportive, team-oriented environment
