Financial Analyst (CONTRACT)
You will be a member of the Group Finance team supporting the R&D and PMO department of our Clinical Diagnostics Group. You will create and maintain reports, perform analysis of monthly results, assist our forecasting/budgeting processes and prepare all Journal Entries for our month-endclose process. This is a role with high visibility to Director and VP-level R&D leadership, so the ability to communicate effectively is essential.
This role requires a strong understanding of GAAP, with a specific focus on how accruals, pre-payments, and other financial data flow through the P&L. This senior analyst will also own our headcount funnel, which requires a strong understanding of financial modeling and the drivers of headcount-related spend.
How You’ll Make An Impact:
- Support Budgeting and Forecasting: This candidate will support our Long Range Plan and our Annual Operating Plan. Accurate forecasting is at the core of what we do; this analyst will support quarterly forecasts as well as our monthly “Latest Visibility” process, which is essentially a rolling OPEX forecast for R&D.
- Manage Month-End Close Process: Responsible for monthly journal entries relating to CDG R&D. These entries include accruals, reclasses, and a few items relating to R&D tax credits.
- Monthly Reporting of Results and Variance Analysis: Responsible for creating and maintaining reports that explain CDG R&D’s financial performance and performing variance analysis over results.
- Maintain Headcount Funnel: Responsible for maintaining our hiring funnel, which creates a rolling forecast for our headcount and employee -related expense for future months.
- Ad Hoc Analysis: Responsible for fulfilling a variety of different requests from business partners with minimal supervision.
What You Bring:
- Bachelor Degree in Accounting or Finance
- 6 years of applicable FP&A experience required. Experience with multinational public company (either as an internal FTE or consultancy/audit basis). Previous Big Four experience strongly preferred.
- SAP and Oracle EPM experience preferred. Strong Excel knowledge is required.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and project management skills in order to make accurate interpretations of financial data and balance multiple competing priorities.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and writing skills. Ability to tell the story behind the data and communicate actionable steps for our business partners.
