Salary Range: $82,000 – $117,000 annually

Sign-On Bonus: Up to $10,000 for the Early Psychosis (CSC) track

About the Opportunity

A community-based mental health center is seeking full-time, bilingual (Spanish–English) Licensed or Pre-Licensed Mental Health Therapists to join a growing Mental Health and Wellness team. Two positions are currently open, both grounded in trauma-informed, culturally responsive care:

Available Tracks

• Clinic-Based Therapist: Provides trauma-specific and culturally informed services for youth, adults, and families.
• Lead Therapist – Coordinated Specialty Care (CSC): Provides specialty services to youth experiencing early psychosis (ages 12–25) and receives specialized training in early psychosis intervention.

Both roles offer strong clinical supervision, training, interdisciplinary collaboration, and community-engaged work.

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Services

  • Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments, including diagnosis, psychosocial history, medical history, and family/social systems

  • Develop treatment plans with clients and caregivers outlining measurable, achievable goals

  • Provide individual, family, and group therapy to mild, moderate, and moderate-to-severe clients

  • Serve clients in varied settings: clinic, schools, homes, group homes, and community

  • Provide crisis intervention within program scope and participate in on-call rotation

  • Maintain timely clinical documentation (progress notes, summaries, discharge planning)

  • Comply with HIPAA, Medi-Cal, BBS/BOP standards, and quality assurance requirements

  • Attend weekly team meetings, supervision, and clinical consultations

Track-Specific Duties

Clinic-Based Therapist

  • Maintain a caseload of ~25 clients or 66% productivity

  • Provide trauma-informed and culturally responsive therapy in Spanish and English

  • Support clients across clinic, school, and community settings

CSC Lead Therapist (Early Psychosis)

  • Maintain a caseload of 15–20 clients and 66% productivity

  • Work with youth (12–25) experiencing early psychosis under the CSC model

  • Participate in specialized EPI-CAL training (UCSF, UC Davis, Stanford partners)

  • Deliver family support, attend IEP/504 meetings, and provide outreach presentations

  • Co-lead biweekly Multi-Family Groups (5:30–7:30 PM)

  • Provide non-supervisory support to therapists or staff

Minimum Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy, or related field

  • Registered (AMFT, ASW, APCC) or Licensed (LMFT, LCSW, LPCC) with BBS

  • Bilingual Spanish required

  • Experience with youth, children, and families (2+ years preferred)

  • Valid California Driver License

  • CSC Lead role requires CA licensure

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1 year experience in CSC, CHRp, or First Episode Psychosis programs (CSC only)

  • Experience with Medi-Cal billing/documentation

  • Knowledge of community resources and case management

  • Familiarity with evidence-based practices

  • Clear and compassionate communication skills

  • Ability to work across diverse settings (clinic, school, home)

  • Knowledge of HIPAA, BBS/BOP ethics, and Medi-Cal compliance

Additional Requirements

  • Must pass background checks for a community care licensed facility

  • Physical ability to sit, type, lift up to 20 lbs., and work across office/field environments

  • Occasional evenings required for CSC role


Compensation

Clinic-Based Licensed Therapist: $89,000 – $114,000
CSC Track:

  • Unlicensed: $82,000 – $89,000

  • Licensed: $89,000 – $94,000
    Sign-On Bonus: Up to $10,000 for CSC
    Relocation support available for California hires
