Property Manager

Location:
Oakland, CA (on-site)


You area professional and proactive Property Manager to oversee daily operations of an assigned property. The ideal candidate will ensure physical and fiscal integrity, regulatory compliance, and strong community engagement with minimal supervision. This role is essential to maintaining safe, well-managed, and resident-focused housing environments.

This position pays: $25.00 to $27.00 per hour

What you will be doing:


Leasing & Tenant Relations

  • Market and lease available units; maintain eligibility-compliant waiting lists
  • Manage move-in/move-out procedures, lease agreements, and evictions
  • Respond to tenant inquiries and promote positive resident relationships


Rent Collection

  • Collect and process rent payments in YARDI
  • Issue rent increases and track delinquencies
  • Serve legal notices in collaboration with the Property Supervisor


Property Maintenance

  • Coordinate repairs, maintenance, and safety measures
  • Oversee inspections, preventative maintenance, and vendor contracts
  • Maintain a clean, pest-free, and secure property environment


Administration & Reporting

  • Supervise on-site staff and manage daily office operations
  • Prepare and monitor property budgets, transactions, and reports
  • Ensure accurate documentation and regulatory compliance


Additional Duties

  • Respond to emergencies and provide tenant support as needed
  • Maintain strong relationships with residents and community partners
  • Perform other duties to ensure smooth property operations

What you bring:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in property management, preferably in subsidized or tax credit housing
  • Proficiency in YARDI, Microsoft Office, and basic bookkeeping
  • Strong organizational, administrative, and interpersonal skills
  • Certified Tax Credit Specialist (TCS), COS, or ability to obtain within 6 months
  • Ability to navigate property grounds, including stairs, roofs, and uneven terrain
  • Professionalism, initiative, and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
