Demand Planner

Location: Sonoma County, CA

Salary Range: $85,000 – $95,000 per year

The Demand Planner will play a key role in aligning supply and demand in the operations of our organic dairy products. This position is responsible for forecasting demand, determining capacity requirements, analyzing trends, and collaborating across departments to optimize production and inventory levels while meeting market demands and service goals.

Essential Job Functions:

• Support S&OP and production planning processes to align operations with market demand and company goals.

• Partner with Sales to capture, track, and analyze incoming demand, including new product launches and customer onboarding.

• Coordinate data inputs and maintain forecasting models for finished goods and raw materials.

• Validate data integrity and resolve discrepancies to ensure reliable forecasts.

• Communicate demand plan impacts to operations and align cross-functional teams.

• Assess operational capacity and adjust for variations in supply and demand.

• Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with supply chain to maintain optimal stock.

• Develop responsive strategies to support efficiency, cost goals, and service levels.

• Improve inventory and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) practices.

• Track and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs).

• Lead or participate in supply chain projects and process improvement initiatives.

Job Requirements:

Education & Experience:

• Minimum 5 years of production planning experience in CPG or perishable food manufacturing.

• Proficient in demand planning software and ERP systems (e.g., Business Central).

• Strong grasp of forecasting, supply chain, and inventory management principles.

• Demonstrated project management and continuous improvement experience.

• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

• APICS, CPIM, Six Sigma certifications preferred.
