You are a Jira Administrator with strong scripting skills. Must Have: PowerBI, developing critical path, creating dashboards/plugins. Full stack knowledge/Holistic view of every little detail within Jira system. Strong proficiency in Groovy scripting, which is essential for the IT-side automation and integration tasks associated with this position. Python coding skills are a bonus. Ability to create clear documentation and deliver presentations effectively. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to clearly explain technical aspects to executives. Work with 2 departments: PMO is main strategy owner, IT part is the execution

This position pays: $75 -$78 hourly

Location: 5 days onsite Foster City, CA

What you will be doing:

  • Provide strategic recommendations and thought leadership on Jira solutions, focusing on system design, optimization, workflows and automation capabilities.
  • Assess and implement other tools to integrate with Jira (Google office products, Slack, Polarion and various plug-ins) for tracking and reporting.
  • Create comprehensive implementation documentation for new Jira configurations and solutions.
  • Conduct testing and demonstrations in the Jira development environment, collaborating with implementation teams to refine solutions before production deployment
  • Design and document data migration strategies, including impact analysis on reporting and existing workflows
  • Provide training and support to users, for any Jira related updates
  • Partner with the central Jira admin team to ensure alignment with organization-wide standards and best practices


What you bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of experience in Jira administration and architecture
  • Strong understanding of Jira configuration, workflows, and automation capabilities
  • Experience in technical documentation and solution design
  • Proven track record of implementing complex Jira solutions in enterprise environments
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication skills with ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Strong understanding of scriptrunner and behaviors.
  • Experience with writing custom groovy scripts.

  • Atlassian certifications
  • Experience with Jira integrations and API development
  • Knowledge of automotive or aerospace industry processes
  • Experience with change management and process improvement
  • Background in program management or business analysis
