Community Property Manager

You are a dedicated Property Manager who will oversee the daily operations of assigned residential properties. This role is responsible for maintaining physical and financial property integrity, ensuring regulatory compliance, and fostering a safe, welcoming community for residents. The ideal candidate is experienced in affordable housing, highly organized, and able to manage complex tenant needs with minimal supervision.

Location: Oakland, CA (On-site)

This position pays: $28 to $31 per hour

What you will be doing:

• Lease units, maintain compliance with eligibility requirements, and manage waiting lists
• Handle move-ins, move-outs, lease enforcement, and tenant communications
• Collect rent, post payments in YARDI, manage delinquencies, and serve legal notices
• Coordinate property maintenance, inspections, repairs, and vendor services
• Supervise on-site staff and maintain clean, secure, pest-free properties
• Prepare budgets, monitor financials, and ensure timely reporting and documentation
• Support emergency response and promote positive community engagemen

What you bring:

• Minimum 3 years of property management experience (affordable or tax credit housing preferred)
• Proficiency in YARDI, Microsoft Office Suite, and basic bookkeeping
• Strong administrative, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently
• Certifications such as Certified Tax Credit Specialist (TCS) or COS preferred or attainable within six months
