You are an experienced Escrow Assistant seeking to join a reputable firm in the Sonoma County Market.
Our client holds offices throughout the North Bay Area including those to serve clients in the Petaluma, Healdsburg, and Napa. They are a provider of insurance and settlement services to the real estate markets.
Compensation: $52,000 + Bonus
Location: Sonoma County, CA.
What you will be doing:
- Support the Escrow Officer by handling documentation, processing incoming contracts and earnest money, initiating new files, and coordinating services such as home warranties and HOA document requests.
- Analyze title commitments to identify and assist in resolving any outstanding issues. Coordinate payoff requests, communicate with involved parties, and manage the release of liens or other encumbrances.
- Organize and schedule closing appointments, including arrangements for mobile notary services when necessary to ensure smooth and timely closings.
- Prepare all necessary title documents for closing, oversee the funding process, reconcile accounts, process outgoing payments (wires and checks), ensure documents are properly recorded, and compile completed lender packages.
- Act as a main liaison for buyers, sellers, agents, and other stakeholders—delivering clear, timely, and courteous communication throughout the escrow process via phone and email.
What you bring:
- At least one year of hands-on experience supporting escrow transactions in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with industry software
- Brings a friendly, energetic demeanor to the team—someone who lifts others up and helps keep the office positive even during crunch time.
- Strong communicator with excellent written and verbal skills, committed to delivering prompt and thoughtful responses to clients and colleagues.
- Meticulous attention to detail with a focus on quality and accuracy, even when managing tight deadlines or juggling multiple tasks.
- Thrives under pressure—can juggle competing priorities, stay organized, and meet deadlines consistently on a high-volume team.
- Self-starter who takes initiative, follows processes thoroughly, and consistently delivers results without needing close supervision.
- Tech-savvy including occasional social media use.
