Job Summary

HR Coordinator (CONTRACT) 

You are a detail-oriented and dynamic HR professional passionate about supporting employees and ensuring smooth HR operations. As an HR Coordinator, you will play a vital role in administrative HR functions, employee relations, and recruitment efforts, contributing to a positive workplace culture.

This position pays: $27-$30/hr 

Location: Sacramento, CA

What you will be doing:

  • Maintain and update employee records in HR systems, ensuring compliance with legal standards.
  • Process employee benefits enrollment, changes, and terminations.
  • Manage payroll inputs, timekeeping, and attendance tracking in coordination with the People Ops Director.
  • Assist in sourcing, screening, and interviewing candidates for various construction and administrative roles.
  • Coordinate onboarding processes and prepare offer letters, contracts, and onboarding documents.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for employee inquiries regarding HR policies, benefits, and workplace concerns.
  • Assist with employee engagement initiatives and company-wide events.
  • Ensure adherence to labor laws, health and safety regulations, and company policies.
  • Prepare HR reports, including headcount, turnover, and compliance metrics.
  • Support audits and compliance reviews as required.
  • Coordinate employee training sessions on compliance, safety, and professional development.
  • Track training completion and assist in developing future training strategies.

What you bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
  • 2+ years of HR experience, preferably in the construction, engineering, or related industries.
  • Strong knowledge of HR principles, labor laws, and employment regulations.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and payroll software.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact across all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and professionalism.
