Job Summary:
The Sales Manager role combines business development responsibilities and some account management. This position plays a crucial role in identifying new business opportunities along with building and maintaining strong relationships with existing clients. This position also requires a proactive and strategic thinker who can drive new business development and company revenue growth to meet sales objectives. Looking for a sales hunter. Candidate should have experience selling into accounts for some of the following industries: green/new energy, energy management, electric vehicles, EV charging, electrical components manufacturing is ideal.
Key Responsibilities:
- Client Relationship Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients, ensuring a high level of client satisfaction.
- Build, maintain, and strengthen relationships with clients through regular communication, support, and problem resolution.
- Act as a trusted advisor, understanding clients’ business goals and providing solutions to help achieve them.
- Business Development
- Identify, prospect, and qualify new business opportunities to expand the company’s client base.
- Develop and execute strategies for reaching out to potential clients, including conducting market research and networking especially within LinkedIn Sales Navigator.
- Collaborate with the sales team to establish strategies for growth in existing accounts and penetration into new markets.
- Sales and Revenue Growth
- Meet or exceed sales targets by upselling and cross-selling to existing clients and closing new deals.
- Present proposals, negotiate terms, and finalize contracts with clients.
- Develop pricing and service strategies tailored to clients’ needs and aligned with company goals.
- Account Planning and Reporting
- Prepare and deliver regular reports on account status, business opportunities, and competitive landscape.
- Monitor and analyze account metrics, revenue forecasts, and KPIs to track progress toward targets.
- Develop and implement account plans to ensure long-term client satisfaction and retention.
- Collaboration and Communication
- Work closely with internal teams, such as engineering, operations, and product development, to deliver a cohesive and exceptional client experience.
- Facilitate communication between clients and internal teams, ensuring expectations are met on both sides.
- Share feedback from clients with relevant departments to support continuous improvement efforts.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience in account management, sales, or business development.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to think strategically, manage multiple accounts, and meet deadlines.
- Strong negotiation skills and ability to close deals effectively.
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Skills:
- Strong engineering background and/or sales engineering experience.
- Familiarity and experience utilizing CRM software and sales tracking tools.
- Strong personal drive for excellence, and the inner motivation and competitiveness to become a top contributor for the company.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
- Position will be subject to a 90 day and 180-day review in the first year of employment, and a 6 month review structure thereafter.
