You are a Quality Technician working for a local company inspecting different mechanical and electronic devices. In charge of documenting all measurements, quantities and waste control,

This position pays: $27 – $32/hour 

Schedule: Temporary to Hire Monday – Friday 6am or 7am – 2:30pm or 3:30pm

Location: Rohnert Park, CA

 What you will be doing:

  • Leading structured problem solving and continuous improvement efforts (8D methodology) for customer related issues such as returns or complaints
  • Leading structured problem solving and continuous improvement efforts related to internal issues such as scrap or other forms of waste
  • Collecting and reporting of site Quality Metrics – Rejected Parts Per Million, Cost of Poor Quality, Scrap, Corrective Action Request Response time, etc.
  • Quality Representative for Rohnert Park New Product Development Projects
  • Assist in the implementation of Quality Department initiatives 
  • Assist in supplier related quality issues and work closely with other sites 
  • Assist in the development, documentation, and ongoing maintenance of an ISO / IATF compliant QMS 
  • Responsible for handling all measurement equipment.
  • Manage and maintain calibration schedule for all measurement tools and equipment.
  • Inspect non-conforming products to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Conduct inspection of received materials and components.

What you bring:

  • 2-3 years of experience with Associates Degree in Sciences
  • Must be proficient in Excel, Word, Adobe, MRP systems, Enovia (or other ECR/ECO system) and email.
  • Prefer familiarity with electronics, motors, electro-mechanical products, product documentation, and regulatory agency requirements.
  • Familiarity with production/manufacturing environment.
  • Proficient in problem solving methodologies, preferably 8D or A3.
  • Must be able to ensure process adherence (ISO-9001 and IATF – 16949).
  • Strong team player and able to work with people across different functions
  • Able to learn quickly and work effectively without direct supervision.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks at once with limited guidance.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
  • Six sigma experience or certification is a plus
