Accounting Supervisor
Location: Woodland, CA
Hours: Full-time
Salary Range: $90,000.00-$115,000.00
You are an experienced accounting professional responsible for overseeing accounting operations, including financial reporting, accounts payable, and accounts receivable. In this role, you will ensure compliance with financial regulations, prepare accurate financial reports, and strengthen internal controls to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
What You Will Be Doing
- Assist the Controller with reviewing subledgers, including AR/AP.
- Manage trade spend, including cash applications, deductions analysis, and accruals reconciliation.
- Oversee the provision for doubtful accounts through monthly reviews and quarterly analyses.
- Perform month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities, including journal entries and reconciliations.
- Prepare daily cash reports and semi-monthly cash forecasts.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including 1099 submissions and property taxes.
- Support external audits and financial statement reviews.
- Work with the Staff Accountant to manage new customer information and payment collections.
- Maintain lease schedules and ensure accurate reconciliations.
- Document and review internal control processes.
- Optimize departmental workflows for efficiency and accuracy.
- Cross-train team members and support other accounting functions as needed.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (required).
- 3+ years of relevant accounting experience.
- CPA certification (preferred).
- Strong understanding of GAAP/IFRS.
- Excellent attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and accounting software.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
