Behavioral Health Consultant (CONTRACT)

You are an experienced professional passionate about supporting behavioral health programs and providing technical assistance to Tribal Health Programs. In this role, you will oversee grant-funded programs, offer training, and ensure deliverables are met, all while advocating for client and community needs.

This position pays: $35 – $37 per hour

Location: Sacramento, CA (on-site)

Schedule: 35 hours per week, with your choice of 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM or 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

What you will be doing:

• Monitoring grant budgets and deliverables to ensure compliance and efficiency.
• Participating in grant and report writing for current and future funding opportunities.
• Ensuring timely, accurate completion of all grant deliverables.
• Responding to inquiries from various departments regarding behavioral health topics.
• Assisting with training requests on behavioral health subjects, such as recognizing signs of substance abuse, domestic violence,
• Networking with professionals across local, federal, and Tribal mental health programs.
• Providing training on clinical best practices and documentation to behavioral health staff.
• Advocating for clients in navigating community systems like schools and courts.

 What you bring:

• Behavioral health experience, including knowledge of suicide prevention, domestic violence, and substance abuse.
• Master’s degree in Social Work (or related field) with 2 years of administrative oversight in behavioral health programming OR Bachelor’s degree in Social Work (or related field) with 5 years of administrative oversight in behavioral health programming.
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; a willingness to learn the organization’s grant system.
• A career interest in behavioral health and public health initiatives.
• Experience working with tribes or tribal clinics (preferred, not required).
