Pantry Coordinator

You are a proactive, energetic individual who thrives in a fast-paced, physically active environment. You will engage with clients and staff, manage incoming donations, and support the day-to-day operations of the pantry. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys interacting with the community, multitasking, and being physically active while helping to serve clients in need.

This position pays: $25 – $30/hr

Location: San Rafael, Ca  

What you will be doing:

  • Assist with pantry client flow, food deliveries, donations, client and volunteer paperwork, and data entry (including monthly Food Bank Reports).
  • Support the volunteer team with weekly food truck deliveries (unloading, stocking, packing grocery bags).
  • Collaborate with the Facilities Manager on administrative tasks such as scanning, printing, and filing.
  • Assist the Client Services Receptionist in welcoming and serving clients.
  • Maintain and organize shared spaces and the kitchen area.
  • Participate in supervisory meetings and staff training sessions as scheduled.
  • Uphold the goals, objectives, and personnel policies of the organization.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What you bring:

  • Compliance with FQHC requirements, including a negative TB test and full COVID-19 vaccination (unless exempt).
  • Physical ability to lift up to 10 pounds and engage in daily active tasks.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and a customer-oriented approach.
  • Competency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and website navigation.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Collaborative work style with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to de-escalate difficult situations with complex individuals.
  • Commitment to high professional ethical standards and a diverse work environment.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, community service setting with frequent interruptions.
  • Discretion in handling sensitive information in accordance with HIPAA standards.
  • Strong multi-tasking and record-keeping abilities.
  • Passion for social equity and commitment to the organization’s mission.
  • Bilingual (Spanish) skills are preferred but not required.
