Buyer (CONTRACT)

You are a skilled procurement professional responsible for managing diverse
procurement functions, ensuring compliance with organizational policies, and
effectively supporting operational needs.

Position Pay: $25-$27/hr

Location: Sacramento, CA

What you will be doing:

• Processing requisitions and
  purchase orders for materials, services, and equipment
• Performing complex procurement
  tasks, evaluating sourcing options, and ensuring cost-effective solutions
• Developing specifications and
  statements of work for contracts, bids, and agreements
• Administering bid procedures,
  supplier relationships, and contract compliance
• Supporting departmental
  initiatives by ensuring compliance and maintaining strong customer and
  supplier relationships
• Collaborating with departments
  like Accounting Services, Budget, and Accounts Payable to resolve issues
• Facilitating training on
  procurement policies and technical practices

What you bring:

• Proven experience in procurement
  and contracts with knowledge of industry practices and State laws
• Strong problem-solving skills,
  analyzing diverse issues to find effective solutions
• Excellent negotiation skills to
  secure favorable terms with suppliers
• Knowledge of procurement systems
  (e.g., CMS/CFS, Jaggaer) and reporting skills
